Art has historically been a way for people to express themselves in a non-verbal way. Emotions, stories, dreams and visions that the left brain knows nothing of can be tapped into during the creative process. Whether you are looking for yourself or your artistic voice, this class is for you. We will use tempera paint, watercolors and acrylics to search our psyches and tell our stories in this six week class. Color theory, composition and experimental use of materials will be emphasized. With artist / facilitator Jas Milam September 28- November 16 (no class October 12), 2007, Friday mornings 10am to noon at Rivoli Art Mill, 2301 East 28th Street, Chattanooga, COST: $330 includes all supplies TO REGISTER: call 423-322-2514.

Well, looks like being at Rivoli is really worth it. Many of the artists there sold work and received commissions as a result of this well-publicized event. Here are some images taken by Tony Wear, our fantastic photographer and Rivoli artist occupying a studio that includes one of the coolest photoshoot setups I have seen. Here is an example of a small studio. It is really spacious and the wood floors and wallspace for working on is wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely........the other artists are kind and considerate and helpful when you need to get an opinion!
